Wireless Connection (Windows)

To connect  to the wireless network IITD_WIFI3 using the EAP method PEAP with MSCHAPv2 as the inner-tunnel method please follow the steps outlined below. This method is natively supported in Windows.

Connecting  to wireless networks IITD_WIFI, IITD_WIFI1, IITD_WIFI2 and IITD_WiMAX from WIndows using the EAP method TTLS-PAP requires installation of additional software. Please follow the procedure outlined below.

  1. Select IITD_WIFI, IITD_WIFI1 or IITD_WIFI2 from available wireless networks, click on Properties and check if the EAP method TTLS with PAP as the inner tunnel method is natively supported in your version of Windows. If yes, configure the authentication method and install the New IITD CA certificate, and you should be ready to connect. If not, please follow the remaining steps outlined below.
  2. Download the free version of SecureW2 from the CSC site and install it as administrator. You will need to restart your machine after this step.
  3. Choose Start -> All Programs -> SecureW2 -> TTLS Manager and follow the steps required for configuration of SecureW2.
  4. Configure Windows to use SecureW2. Follow these steps for Windows XP and these step for Windows Vista or Windows 7.
  5. Finally, connect and install the IITD CA certificate by following these steps.
